I'M EMOTIONAL!!! *runs around insanely*

I went to AFO last weekend (look it up, I'm not telling) and I forgot to call my dad throughout the duration of it so on the drive back my friend gets a call from my dad (I don't have a cell) demanding to speak with me. He then proceeded to bark my ear off that I was grounded for a month, not being allowed on the computer or going to any of my friend's homes. Plus, he threatened to return the laptop he just bought me.
Overreacting?
I always knew my dad was bipolar but it's never been this serious before. To put it simply, I'm more concerned about his mental state than my lack of interwebs (I'm on the school computer right now and the browser sucks so much that I can only access my notes so if I don't comment back to you, sorry).
I've never been grounded before in my life. It sucks.
The library's closed due to plumbing issues.
